Infineon/Audi R8C

On April 1st, 1999, Siemens Semiconductor became Infineon Technologies - a dynamic company geared towards success in the competitive, ever-changing world of microelectronics and semiconductors. Infineon is also the sponsor of the Audi R8C endurance race car. To help celebrate Infineon's Wall Street debut, the Elmsford Group was called in to add some motorsport atmosphere to the Wall Street dinner. A slot car track was set up on the huge boardroom table and became the center of attention at this very elegant affair. Infineon CEO Helmut Schumacher and NYSE Chairman Richard Grasso enjoyed racing their "personalized" Porsche GT1 slot cars. Although the night was a celebration and recognition of the impressive Infineon IPO, if the truth be told, the most memorable time that evening was spent racing slot cars on Wall Street.
